Classical Conversations is a weekly academic program for grades K-12. Based on the Classical Model of education, trained tutors lead parents and students in classes with an emphasis on teaching learning skills and integrating subjects. Elementary students participate in the Foundations program, where the focus is achieving mastery of memory work. Students in 3rd through 6th grades can also participate in the Essentials program, which focuses on mastering English Grammar. Middle School and High School students master and refine their dialectic and rhetoric skills in the Challenge programs. All of Classical Conversations programs emphasize the fact that the purpose of all learning is to “Know God and make Him known”. Our motto is, “Declarare Deum- to declare God.”

Catholic Scholars

Catholic Scholars strives to lay the foundation for future learning in elementary aged children. Through a structured program of rigorous, coherent academics and fine arts enrichment, our children will be guided by trained tutors in both knowledge and character in a positive, Catholic classroom environment. Catholic Scholars meets once a week for four quarters and is accompanied by planned field trips, chorus/drama and PE.

Mother of Divine Grace is a classical approach to education created to follow the developmental and learning stages of each child while allowing flexibility in using a method rather than a particular book or set of books. Each family has a consultant for help in planning and accountability.

FINE ARTS


Voice Instruction

Robin Chenault has a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance, homeschools her children and offers private voice lessons. Students work on Classical and Broadway music, as well as theory and sight reading. Lessons may be 30 to 60 minutes in length, depending on the age of the students.

Monday’s Artists is an affordable fine arts enrichment program meeting 24 weeks/year to teach public speaking, art, music and drama to students ages 5 to 17. A nursery is available for little ones. All classes are taught by hired professionals using a common curriculum created by Monday’s Artists for Monday’s Artists. Each year culminates with an evening of fine arts to celebrate and appreciate what our students have accomplished.

Homeschool science workshops designed to give more intense experience in topic areas as well as enhance your home curriculum. Concepts will be taught through the use of several methods including demonstration and activities. A pre-assessment test will give the educator an idea of the level of the participants and a post-assessment will give her an idea of how the information is being received/retained. Each 12 weeks of classes includes a field trip to Discovery Place.

Eight weeks of Bible Study in the Fall and Spring with a nursery for infants and activities for children up to grade 6. Classes meet on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 2:30pm and are followed by a fellowship/refreshment time while the children are kept in their activity groups.

CBS is a national, interdenominational Bible study group with local leadership in the Clover/Lake Wylie area. It is open to all women and of all knowledge levels. Register in fall for classes beginning the end of August. Next years study will be the Gospel of Mark and Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians. A wonderful Children’s Ministry Program is available currently for nursery – first grade. Space is limited.
